old cars: the End of the Road?

End of the Road
Photo and Text By: Mark Jordan

Out back, old cars rest in gentle decay,
Rusted metal softened by the dimming light,
Paint peeling, seats worn and torn,
They are quiet whispers of past journeys.

Miles traveled are many,
Their stories held in the deepening dusk,
Each dent and scratch a testament to experience,
A glimpse into days of exploration now hidden.

  1. I had an old car back in the 80s so I used to frequent junk yards looking for parts. I remember one junk yard in particular that was full of nothing but all kinds of 1950s cars. I remember I wanted to go back there and shoot a series of photos.

I still regret that I never got around to doing that.
